More About Me

John’s first career was 22 years in Public Education spending the last 15 years as a Principal and Central Office Administrator in Wake Country Public Schools.  His passion and experience for learning and his undergraduate degree in Communications served him well in his 13 years in New Home Sales and Business Management. After 10 years as an On-site agent, John opened and ran the New Homes Division for York Simpson Underwood and Prudential York Simpson Underwood.  Success for his clients and students has always been obtained through effective communication and professionalism.  When PruYSU decided to close its New Home Division, John took his knowledge and interest into the Triangle Real Estate Market and combined it with his passion for helping others to establish his General Brokerage business.

John was born in upstate New York, moved to Minnesota for seven years and then to Raleigh in 1965 when his dad was transferred with IBM.  Other than a three year stay on the Eastern Shore in Maryland, he has personally experienced the phenomenal growth of the Triangle firsthand. John’s undergraduate degree is from North Carolina State University in Speech Communications, and he graduated at the top of his Master’s program at East Carolina University with an M.A. in Special Education.  He is the proud parent of two daughters and one son, all who live in the Triangle.  His wife is the Managing Broker of Corcoran DeRonja Real Estate.
